COVID-19: Philippines’ 3rd Leading Cause of Death
On the third loop of pandemic surge, Philippine Statistics Authority’s data (PSA) shows that COVID-19 is now the 3rd leading cause of death in Philippine history.
From January to October 2021, the death toll reached 604, 329. On this rate, 75, 285 were due to COVID-19 and that is about 12.5 percent of the total. On the other hand, the Department of Health (DOH) showed a recorded data of about 33, 796 deaths only. NCR's current situation not enough to be placed under Alert Level 4 yet — Palace
The National Capital Region (NCR) does not meet the parameters for the area to be placed under Alert Level 4 despite the spike in COVID-19 cases, Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said Monday, Jan. 10.
