Angel Locsin; a veteran actress, philanthropist, continues to give hope to her countrymen during the pandemic as her new docu-series ‘Iba ‘Yan’ aims to help the less-fortunate Filipinos amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
The humanitarian aid worker is hosting the public service program which first aired on June 14, 2020, directed by her very supportive boyfriend Neil Arce. The docu-series showcases Bayanihan spirit by partnering with different volunteer organizations to help Filipinos during trying times.
In a Virtual Media Conference of Iba ‘Yan, Angel told the Philstar.com that her team aims to explore and feature the life of Filipinos in all facets— this include indigenous people, fishermen, victims of natural disaster, probinsyanos, volunteers, etc.
Angel also said that the team will do their best to also aid their show’s featured subjects in their every episode.
The “real-life Darna” also shared that Iba ‘Yan had as well their obstacles and struggle in relations to the ABS-CBN shutdown in the middle of the pandemic.
Angel shared.
She also shared how the team had to take extra precautionary measures to ensure the safety of every program participants.
“So very prepared kami.
Some of the touching stories that were featured in the program include the life of the married couple Emilia Escalante and Jimmy Escalante who lost their livelihood as a jeepney driver—Angel surprises them with their newly renovated house and a new sari-sari store for their livelihood.
