TRENDING: Tyang Amy Perez viral interview with LTO Director
By Jhoemz Vercide 01 Feb 2021 1245

Yup, It’s no joke time for Tyang Amy Perez at all!

On Monday, February 1, 2021, Kapamilya host Tyang Amy Perez trends online after her DZMM Teleradyo interview with Land Transportation Office (LTO) Director Atty. Clarence Guinto.

The two were having a discussion about the new children’s seat arrangement in cars in the Philippines.

Children aged 12 years old and below, starting Tuesday, February 02, 2021, are now not allowed in taking the front seats in private vehicles. They must be seated in child restraint systems (CRS) or car seats as part of the full implementation of the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act.

However, those who fall under the 4’11’ height requirement may use the regular seat belt.

Violators will not be apprehended just yet for at least in the next three months and be on warning mode. This time will be used to disseminate information over the new law.

With this new rule, Amy Perez could not help but asked concerns for those tall children of young age that might accidentally hit their heads when the system will take effect.

Tyang Amy asked, “Kung ang 12 years old sobrang tangkad at siya po ay lalagyan ng booster…aangat at tatama ang ulo sa kotse. Hindi po ba mas delikado ‘yun?”

Guinto replied: “Siguro Ma’am Amy, laki-lakihan mo sasakyan mo.”

 Here’s the clip:

Well, Perez immediately clarified that she’s not referring to her situation, but seriously talking on behalf of the people who have the same dilemma as well.

With this straightforward response from our Pambansang Tyang, the ph online community expressed thoughts and ‘support’ for what the TV host did.

See some reactions below:

Here is the list of fines once the law fully-implemented in the country.

  • Php 1,000.00 for 1st offense
  • Php 2,000.00 for 2nd offense
  • Php 5,000.00 for 3rd offense and succeeding offense and a one-year suspension of driver’s license

However, medical emergencies and situations are exempted from this law.

Well done, Tyang!
