Kris Aquino, the Unstoppable Queen she is, shows up at “Aquino Bailiwick” grand rally
By Hannah Touchette 24 Mar 2022 821

The Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, boldly showed her support to presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo by attending her grand rally in her home province of Tarlac on Wednesday, March 23, despite having a frail condition. She went on stage together with her two sons, Josh and Bimby.

In the vice-presidential election in 2016, Robredo only managed to place first at Tarlac, the bailiwick of the Aquino, over the entire Central Luzon. Marcos lost to her with just 30,000 votes behind.

As we have seen in her Instagram posts, Kris has been going through several medical conditions for the past few months. With only 30 minutes given by her doctors to stay outside, she made sure to make every minute and word count.

The TV host - actress became emotional right off the bat of her speech as she mentioned the death of her brother, late ex-president Noynoy Aquino. She then later admitted that she only learned about the rally of VP Leni yesterday. She immediately insisted, saying, “I’m going, and nobody can stop me.” Because for her, despite the risks, the Filipino is worth dying for, as what her late father, Ninoy Aquino said.

“Ang umapak dito sa Tarlac ay worth the risk,” she added.

And as she finally introduces VP Leni, which she personally requested, she addresses her as “our future president” because “the last man standing will be a woman!”

Throughout the program, Aquino did nothing but spoke praises for Robredo for remaining humble, simple, and a true democracy-loving public servant. She even admired her for raising her three daughters well.

Upon bidding her goodbye, she once again urged the crowd to vote and fight for Robredo because the late president PNoy admired her, mentioning that he had nothing but good words for her since the beginning.

“VP, I did this for you. I did this for my dad, my mom, for Noy. But most of all, I did this for the future of Kuya Josh and Bimb. Kasi gusto ko ang Pilipinas nasa mabuting kamay” she said. Her statement pretty much shows the outcry of every Filipino this election season - a better future for our sons and daughters.

Kris Aquino’s appearance at the Tarlac grand rally immediately trended in the Philippines with 65,000 tweets, as of writing. Angel Locsin also made a surprise appearance at the campaign rally.
