I was once not a supporter of Leni Rebredo.

A person who has a stubborn disposition in which do not believe in any social media algorithms, majority’s choice and clout chasing. Unlike with others, I did not experience the love at first sight for Leni as the next president of the Philippines.

 Why? Strategically looking at the possibility of World War III, I once thought of “Will she be able to lead the nation once WW3 occurred? Will our country increase in terms of economic status?” but then, few days before May 9, 2022 my mind changed.

“Punta ka ng Pasay rally, masaya doon!” if this is a playlist, it is indeed on the loop because a lot of my friends are supporting Leni-Kiko. While here I am, choosing to vote for another candidate because I found him brave and wise enough to lead the country.

Fast forward to “silip lang ako sa rally” turns out to be “Huy grabe! Damang-dama mo iyong bayanihan!”

What captured my eyes and mind? Not the candidates but the people itself.

The kindness is so contagious. Leni Robredo and Kiko Pangilinan do not have to pull the people so hard towards them.

The people is standing for them. "Hindi kailangan pilitin dahil lantad ang liwanag mula sa mga lider na may malasakit sa bansa."

A lot of people from the crowd are helping each other without anyone dictating them. Free meals, free medical assistance and respect. And that is the big picture where I found myself saying “Handa na ang Pilipinas para sa pagbabago.”

Why? These group of Filipinos saw a model, saw a hope and saw a better system. Purely organic. No more expensive ads to persuade them. And I am testifying this not to ask your vote for the mentioned candidate above. Rather I want you to be a Pro-Filipino… Pro-Philippines. Think about a wiser and better system. Think about how your 1 vote can create a big impact for six years.
