American popstar, Ariana Grande, clamored the online Twitter world after she shared Instagram story videos of PH Vice President Leni Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan supporters, also known as “Kakampinks” singing and jumping to her hit song “Break Free.”
Upon posting, Ariana Grande immediately hit the #1 spot in Philippines trends on Twitter with 110,000 tweets, as of writing. Filipinos expressed their shock and disbelief that the popstar, with over 300 million followers, would include that momentous event on her Instagram.
The first clip was taken through an aerial video of over thousands of Kakampinks arrayed in pink shirts, waving their pink flags while singing the chorus part of the song. Ariana, moved by the massive crowd, captioned, “I could not believe this was real, I love you more than words.”
Meanwhile, the second clip is an up-close shot of the people on the ground, singing and jumping as they waved their balloons and flags, captioned along with three teary-eyed emojis.
Several actors, celebrities and bands like Donny Pangilinan, Jolina Magdangal, Julia Barretto, Ben&Ben, Rivermaya and Itchyworms also joined the thousands of Leni-Kiko tandem supporters at the campaign rally.
So far, the Pasig rally that happened yesterday, March 20, is the biggest of all Leni-Kiko sorties across the nation which recorded more than 90,000 ‘Kakampinks’ in attendance, beating Bacolod’s number of 70,000.
