Your Mental Health Matters
By By Faith Estrella 18 Aug 2021 1109

“Be gentle on yourself. You don’t have to rush and carry all the loads. Kailangan mo rin mag pahinga.” This is just one of the most important lines that Ms. Jannelyn Sabado-Humarang told the viewers in the first free webinar of The Lookout PH last August 13, 2021.

It is very timely indeed to have a webinar entitled as Your Mental Health Matters: Taking care of your mental health during ECQ 3.0. The talk last for about an hour and Ms. Jannelyn focus on self-care and stress management. Here are some slices from the cake that might help your mental health in this season:

-Be patient on yourself. Every emotion is valid but don’t let it eats you.

-Have some break or rest. It’s a gift.

-Healing is not linear. You have to grow and heal on your own to avoid afflicting wounds in other relationships.

-Have some “off-screen time”. It helps your mind to recharge and rest from any toxicity in social media platforms.

-You deserve to reward yourself. Especially in tough times and over times (work or school), rewarding yourself in a rightful manner can fuel motivation within.

-For students who are having their online classes and people who are work from home, create boundaries in your home.

-Allotting time and spaces that will differentiate home from work or school stuffs can help.

-Observe time management. Have some “me-time” by doing your hobbies even if you’re at home.

-Appreciate the people around you. Have the gratitude of being grateful even in the smallest things or small wins in your life.

This are just few from all the essential take away in the webinar. You deserve to have a healthier mental health in spite of having this kind of pandemic. To know more about this, watch it here.  And read more about taking care of your mental health here because you are loved. You matter.
