Yup, the queen of all media is back—this time, as a meme!

After a week of seeing the “because?” meme all over your social media feeds, the actress and TV host Kris Aquino has finally joined the trend as she used it to start off a question and answer game.

The viral video-turned-meme is a screencap from a clip in her morning show “Kris TV” in 2014 where Aquino interviewed actress Kim Chiu as part of her promotion to her rom-com movie then with boyfriend Xian Lim, “Bride for Rent.”

Chiu was having a hard time expressing herself and couldn’t complete her statement then as she was touched by fans coming to her defense after receiving criticisms for her comments during a press conference when asked about the off-screen relationship she had with co-star Xian Lim, Chiu said, “We don’t owe you any of our personal lives.”

Kris, as host, prompted to finish off the actress’ sentence by elaborating thoughts and dropped the line “so na-touch ka because?”—an unexpected moment for the birth of a now-popular meme.

Seven years have passed, it resurfaced as a meme template in 2021. The video was uploaded by ABS-CBN News YouTube on Jan. 15, 2014, where it has reached more than one million views on the video-sharing platform so far.

On Sunday, February 7, Aquino posted the meme on her social media account saying, “BECAUSE… alangan naman kayo lang ang nag enjoy?"

"Ask me anything I can answer with BECAUSE… cutest questions will get answered,” she said.

Netizens started to flood the former presidential daughter’s IG comment section. Kris was eagerly shown her interest to answer most of it.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya actress and chinita princess Kim Chui has also reacted after noticing the meme.

On Twitter, she said: “dyosko kayo talaga! Nahanap nyo to because???”
