Funny TikTok videos, how-to tutorials from make-up to cooking, the latest music—all of these can be found on Youtube! We all have our favorite videos and channels that we subscribe to. Whenever we need a break, we browse videos to pass time, especially during this quarantine season.

Why not use this time to learn about interesting topics, self-improvement, and how to deal with various situations in life and relationships? Here are five interesting channels that you can subscribe to:

This is TED's advocacy in a nutshell, "to discover and share ideas worth spreading." With a wide variety of topics ranging from everyday objects ("Small Thing Big Idea") to more serious matters such as civil rights, you can find something here that you might enjoy watching.

One recent interesting video is how dogs are used to sniff out malaria. In this talk and live demo, biologist James Logan introduces the audience to Freya, a malaria-sniffing dog. It discusses how animal scent can detect chemical signatures that are associated with infection, which can help change the way we diagnose diseases.
