What is the top tier thing that Filipinos love to do during special occasions? Yes, you guessed it right, Drinking! Inuman sessions with friends, family or even strangers is one of the best moments one can ever think of. Aside from the sharing of fun or maybe sad stories  from your drinking buddies, the best part of every session is the pulutan paired with a cold drink. Of course nothing beats good food! From the fanciest pulutan to the simplest one, anything you can think of can definitely be enjoyed as long as it is shared with the people close to your heart.

'Pulutan' is part of the Filipino culture that is unique and special from the rest of the world. If you are planning to catch-up with your friends, celebrate family occasion or having an alone time and in search of the best food to be partnered with your favorite alcohol, check this one:

Tofu Sisig - A healthier alternative to the traditional sisig. Tofu sisig is composed of fried tofu cubes, chili peppers and onion and can be topped with egg and fried garlic. This pulutan is perfect for those who are a little health conscious but love to try a sisig dish because it does not contain any pork meat or internal organs and greasy ingredients.

Kilawin - From the root word 'kilaw' which means 'eaten fresh', this is a type of dish where you soaked your chosen meat such as fish, pork or shrimp into an acidic marinade. Easy to prepare, convenient and less hassle, this pulutan will save you a lot of time, so try this now and satisfy your curious taste bud.

Calamares - Known to be just a typical Filipino street food but Calamares is the Philippine own version of the world's famous Mediterranean fried squid. What makes this dish more delicious and appetizing  is the right amount of seasoning, the right crisp when fried and the special homemade spiced vinegar.

Nilasing na Hipon - Also known as Drunken Shrimps, this dish can be prepared in just three simple ways: clean, marinate and fry. First is to clean and cut unnecessary parts of the shrimp, next is to marinate it in liquor then deep fry until golden brown. Choice of liquor for the marinade can vary from gin, whiskey, beer or wine.

Chicken Wings - This probably is one of the most requested pulutan everyone is fond of eating. Fried chicken wings coated with the special sauce of your choice such as teriyaki, buffalo, parmesan, honey garlic and a lot more. Plain and simple it may sound but the flavorful chicken meat will keep you on going until your last bite.

Beef Salpicao - Sounds foreign right? But this dish is proudly from the Philippines. It also may sound complicated but it only needs a few ingredients such as beef, garlic, butter, chili flakes, worcestershire and other seasonings. A stir fry dish that is loaded with fantastic flavors that is perfect for inumans.

Bulaklak ng Baboy - Can be fried until crispy or grilled, this versatile pig's internal part is definitely a must-try.  Ruffled Fat in English but it is not really a fat but rather a tissue. You may become hooked once you tasted this dish, but just take a little caution on your intake for your health.

Adobong Isaw - We've only known Adobo to be just either pork or chicken meat but the chicken's intestine is another take of this popular Filipino dish. Same with the traditional way of cooking, all you have to do is cook it with soy sauce, vinegar and the typical spices.
