Things are becoming more difficult. The path is becoming longer and harder to pass by. It's not easy getting there. You will be disheartened a plethora of times. But remember, it has to start diminutive and slow. It needs enough time and room to grow. It needs your full attention and commitment. And it requires the best of you right now. When progress feels slow, remember that quitting won't get you closer.
I know, there are moments that you just want to quit and stop. But always keep into your head that giving up will bring you nowhere but locked inside a small room that is your comfort zone.
“Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow.” – Plato
And if by chance you meet someone who’s in the process of changing themselves, it’s wrong to discourage them. There are plenty of stories told of people, now known to be great, who had some difficulty in their youth, or their past. Just because they aren’t going very fast as others do, it doesn’t mean that they are completely hopeless.
If you don’t give up on them, and they don’t give up on themselves, eventually they will get to the place they aim to be at. Progress needs persistence. As long as there is progress, there is hope. Hope for more progress. Hope for a success. Hope for more understanding which can lead to appreciation.
Goal attainment is not linear because there are parts of the process taking place behind the scenes beyond our awareness. To your on perception and way of thinking, it may seem nothing is happening, or you are not making a step ahead. This is only your perception because you are too invested in the outcome. You are utterly looking forward to the result, without enjoying the process. Yes, the key to triumph is to enjoy the process, to live by the moment.
So be encouraged, be motivated — but don’t rely on it 100%. There are days that you will feel demotivated, and it’s okay. Never quit. Never settle. Learn to appreciate where you are right now. It's not easy but look at you now. You've learned and progressed. Now believe in yourself a lot more. And remember -- do not despise these small beginnings. It all starts there. You will see big things ahead. You got this!
