Forging in to 2021 feels like you’re bumping to a thick wall. Pushing forward on something that might prolong your anxiety from the previous year or walking backward and stay on the phase where everything fell instantly—without you noticing it.
The thought of waking up in 2020 when the surge of pandemic happened makes most of us doubt “what’s ahead of me?” or “will I survive this year?”. Broken relationship, employment loss, bankruptcy, inefficient government system and health provisions. These are just few from all those things that you have probably embraced for a long time and thought of growing with while stepping on the ladder of success. Quite tough right? Looking back on how you successfully jump into 2021 is a milestone to celebrate.
Remember that small success is still a success. The mere fact that you made it here is a manifestation of bravery. Better handling of emotions, smaller circle of friends, lengthened patience and small wins. You don’t just flip the coin and survive, you roll and take a risk of dropping it in progressive investments. Before this year ends, shrug off the remaining baggage of hatred, anger and pain. If it’s too heavy, gradually walk on the healing process. You don’t have to haste. Healing process is not a race.
To you who is still holding on something or someone from 2020 or 2021, ask yourself. “Is it worth staying there?” or “Should I still hold on to this?”. Remember that peace of mind and a good mental health is way better than betting on something unsure. If it is for you, it will find its own way back to you. Something or someone better than before.
Try to think of all your small initiatives and wins. You did so well. We are proud of who you are now. Look at you, you made it here! Don’t feel guilty for choosing yourself this time. How can you give and share something which you don’t have? Go ahead and fill in your vessel. But never forget that sharing and being kind is way better than gold.
Above these, move forward to 2022 with a hopeful mind and better vision. Have a grateful heart that you are here and heading on to another phase of your life. Way to go for 2022!
