Heads up, coffee lovers! Former % Arabica, now rebranded as Angkan Coffee is ready for brewing!
After % Arabica had closed its branches on January 31 following the expiration of their contract with Philippine partners, many patrons were heartbroken.
But good news! Former partners and mother-daughter, Allue and Dr. San San Hortaleza, the same people who helped bring Arabica to the metro had announced that they’ll be opening a new coffee shop with a more distinct Filipino flair.
Meet Angkan Coffee, which promises to bring "the best beans and brews from around the Philippines and around the world!"
Arabica is a Japanese coffee shop with a quite distinct Japanese vibe, given its minimal and zen aesthetic, Allue wanted to do this for Angkan, but will champion the Filipino coffee heritage.
Although they will still serve variations of everyone’s favorite in Arabica, like the famous Spanish Latte and Matcha Latte, expect to see more additions with certain Filipino twists to keep things unique and “homey” at the same time.
