In October of 2021, popular showbiz couple Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abella were officially married after years of being boyfriend and girlfriend. However,  earlier this year, speculations form netizens arose after the two unfollowed each other on Instagram. Despite the rumors before, fans were  still hopeful since the couple have not yet deleted any photos of each other on their accounts nor released a statement about their short marriage break-up.

In an interview in March 2022 with Carla's father, Rey Abellana, he revealed that his daughter and Tom are having  marital issues due to a 'one night stand' involvement of the actor. This has not yet been confirmed nor denied by both parties. 

Cristy Fermin, a showbiz columnist and a radio show host stated on a vlog she released on May 26, 2022 that Carla Abella is starting to prepare for the  annulment to be processed. The actress has not made any comments regarding it as of the moment.

On the other note, Tom has been visibly posting cryptic images on his Instagram account. On a now deleted post last June 4, he posted a  photo with the caption:

"Things go south, mushroom clouds. No one’s left around. Money bought, power talked but no one’s listening now. And empires claimed, up in flames, burnt to the ground. History repeats, video reels going round and round."

Netizens commented on the said post and kept on asking for the truth about their marriage. A comment from an account with the username @isabellefajardo6 caught the attention of everyone where she asked,

"Why not tell the whole truth now? Why wait?”

Tom replied briefly, “Gag order, Ask THEM why."

The actor-singer continued to post cryptic messages, he posted a 'chain breaking on hands' photo but later on deleted it as well.

Now that the couple is on the verge of an annulment, let us see where this silent battle is going.
