Breaking free from the usual runway get-up, Bella Hadid stunned the world with her spray-painted dress in the Coperini’s Fashion show last Friday, September 30. Ending the show with a bang, the supermodel stood naked on the runway, wearing only a nude thong. The men quickly worked their way to mold the dress around her body as she elegantly posed for the crowd.

This dramatic stunt was a homage to Alexander McQueen’s spring/summer 1999 show where Shalom Harlow stood on a spinning platform wearing a white strapless dress while robots painted her dress in real-time. 

Unlike McQueen’s exhibition, Coperini’s version used white cob-web-like material to create the dress built precisely for the model’s body. As the fabric congeal together, it hugged Bella’s body perfectly as she fashionably strutted the runway. 

After the show, the people applauded Hadid and deemed her the ‘Supermodel of this generation.’ She received many praises for her performance and got commended for her dedication to the craft. The supermodel was also constantly compared with Kendall Jenner, an American model, and socialite. 

The Parisian brand Coperini, known for merging science, craft, and fashion, also shattered the norms earlier this year with their handblown glass bag sported by Doja Cat on the Grammy Awards red carpet.
